Fort Donelson Camp #62

Welcome to SUVCW Fort Donelson Camp # 62 web site. FDC62 upholds the principles of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War: “Preserving the memory of the Grand Army of the Republic and our ancestors who fought to preserve the Union, 1861-1865.”

The Camp name honors the veterans of the Battle of Fort Donelson, the Union Army’s 1862 gateway to the South.  The Camp membership includes members form a large area of Middle Tennessee as well as from several other states.  We welcome to our membership not only residents of Tennessee but others who may have had ancestors in Tennessee campaigns and battles or who may just have a great interest in these engagements.

Please browse the FDC62 web site to see Camp history, activities, and events, but especially note the FAQ’S page. On this page is information on researching your Civil War ancestor, submitting his Civil War service information and burial site for the SUVCW Graves Registry, and on joining the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

Thank you, we appreciate your spending a bit of your time with the FDC62 web site.

May God bless you.

In Fraternity, Charity, and Loyalty,

Sam C. Gant
